New London Hospital Appoints Board Chair

New London Hospital (NLH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne B. Holmes as the new Board Chair. Holmes has been a member of the NLH Board of Trustees since 2006 and replaces outgoing Board Chair, G. William Helm, Jr.

In addition to playing an integral role on the NLH Board of Trustees, Holmes has been instrumental in leading the transition of the hospital’s volunteer program to the current Friends of New London Hospital, which includes over 150 volunteer members. She has also been an active member of the Community Affairs and Development Committees and is currently the host of the Upper Valley Chronicle TV show.

“It has been a privilege to serve on the Board, and I am honored to follow Mr. Helm as Board Chair in my continued service to New London Hospital,” stated Holmes. “I look forward to meeting the challenges of the ever-changing healthcare environment, and I am proud to be affiliated with such an amazing institution.”

The NLH Board of Trustees also welcomes Board member, Doug Lyon. Previously, Lyon served as the Treasurer for Colby-Sawyer College from 1999 to 2012. An active volunteer, Lyon was a founding member of the New Hampshire Family Planning Council and Chair of the finance committee of the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation. His civic commitment includes terms on the Town of New London Zoning Board and the Select Board. Lyon is also a member of the NLH Finance and Audit Committees, and resides in New London.

Outgoing Board members include G. William Helm, Jr., who is completing his second term as Chair of the Board, as well as Beverly Payne, John Robb, MD, and Patricia Tilley. New London Hospital thanks each of these trustees for their years of service, dedication,and commitment to the growth and success of NLH.
