Andover’s New Town Dump Truck has Arrived

Ford 550 Superduty with four-wheel drive

Road Agent John Thompson, Selectman Duncan Coolidge, Town Administrator Marj Roy, and Selectman Jim Delaney are grateful for the vote of confidence that Town Meeting gave our town government by approving the warrant article to lease a new dump truck for the Highway Department. It's a Ford 550 Superduty four-wheel drive, with a 6.7-liter turbo-diesel Powerstroke B20 engine with certified clean idle. It has a three- to four-yard dump body and will soon have a 9' Fisher MC Series plow and a 2.5-yard Polycaster electric sander. Photo: Charlie Darling
