Mount Sunapee Starts Skiing on November 27

Newbury, New Hampshire –

(November 24, 2015) – Mount Sunapee Resort is opening for the 2015-2016 winter season on Friday, November 27 with top-to-bottom skiing and riding from the summit. Over a mile of continuous terrain will be available for advanced and expert skiers and riders on Upper and Lower Blast Off trails. There will be no terrain open for novice or beginner skiers and riders. The Sunapee Express high-speed quad will be operating to the summit with over 1,400 vertical feet of terrain open.

Early season ticket prices are $49. for adults, $39. for young adults and seniors and $33. for juniors and super seniors. Snowmaking will continue as temperatures permit to open additional terrain.

Saturday and Sunday, December 12 and 13 Mount Sunapee will be hosting Demo Days with Bob Skinner’s Ski & Sport. Skiers will be able to try the newest skis from seven different ski manufacturers.

In an effort to help stock the local food shelters for the holidays, Sunday, December 13 is the first of two Cares & Shares Days at Mount Sunapee. Each skier or rider who brings five non-perishable food items to the ticket window can ski or ride all day for only $35.

Thanks to almost 200 high-output, energy-efficient snow guns on the mountain, this is the fourth season in a row that Mount Sunapee has opened the day after Thanksgiving, Mount Sunapee’s scheduled opening date.
