Out and About at The Fells: Snow, Snow, Snow!

Tuesday, February 16, 10 to 11 AM.

This program for pre-school age children and their caregivers will take a closer look at the white stuff. Children learn what makes snow so special and the secret kingdom where animals live during the harsh winter months. Weather permitting, children should bring clothing for outdoor exploration. Free. Winter Mammal Tracking and Wildlife Ecology –The Fells and Hay Forest Reservation

Wednesday, February 24, 1 to 4 PM. (Snow date: Thursday, February 25)

Learn animal tracking tips and who is most active in the winter woods during this workshop led by Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests’ Dave Anderson. A 30-minute indoor presentation followed by a guided outdoor hike. BYO snowshoes. Fells or SPNHF members $16, non-members $20. Advance registration required.
