Andover area voters are invited to a reception to meet Mark Connolly, Democratic candidate for Governor, on Monday, June 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at the Andover Barn at the Highland Lake Inn in East Andover. The evening is organized by the Andover Democrats and is the first in a series of events that will provide area voters with the opportunity to hear from Democrats running for local or state-wide office.

A native of Bedford, Mr. Connolly became interested in politics early in life and represented his town in the New Hampshire House of Representatives while still a student at Dartmouth College. Between successful stints in the business world, he has also served as New Hampshire’s Assistant Secretary of State, Deputy Secretary of State, and Director of the Bureau of Securities Regulation, where he won significant victories throughout the state on behalf of students, seniors, and families.

Connolly is currently the principal of New Castle Investment Advisors, LLC, a small business he founded in 2010 to serve clients throughout New England.

Connolly has also been deeply involved in his home community as a volunteer; he has served on the Strawbery Banke Board of Trustees, the New Hampshire Audubon Society Board of Trustees, the Child and Family Services of New Hampshire Board of Directors, as a member of the New Castle Planning Board, and on the transition teams of Governors Judd Gregg and John Lynch.

All interested residents are welcome to take this opportunity to hear Connolly talk about why he would like to serve as governor, the qualities and experiences he brings to the campaign, as well as to answer questions from those attending. The Andover Barn is located next to the Highland Lake Inn on Maple Street in East Andover. Refreshments will be served.
