Firecracker 5K a Huge Success

Funds raised for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts

By Brian Reynolds, Firecracker 5K

This year’s Andover Firecracker 5K on the Fourth of July was a huge success. It was our largest field ever, with over 100 race-day sign-ups and 166 finishers.

The race raised over $1,000 each for Andover’s Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. A huge “Thank you!” to Amy Rheaume, Kathy Bennett, Robin Davis, the Cub Scout and Boy Scout families, and to all of our sponsors: the Town of Andover, Trail Side Sugar Shack, Tarte Café and Bakery, Jake’s Market, Mead and Braley Standing Seam Roofing, Bucklin Law Office, Poulin Property Maintenance, GZA, Little Scoop, Ragged Mountain Physical Therapy, and Davonna Homes.

Among the Andover runners (finishing in this order) were: Terrence Fox, David Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds, Maryn Barrett, Chris Cloutier, Sophia Reynolds, Christopher Clasby, Lyndsay Bisaccio, Harvey Pine, Jessica Pine, Joe Cloutier, Patrice Mahoney, Katherine Stearns, Asa Gilman, Samantha Poulin, and Sarah Gilman.
