Sandra Williams' sister

Kathleen J. Powers, 70, of Derry, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016, in Nashua Crossings, Nashua, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Manchester on January 4, 1946, a daughter of the late Raymond and Irene (Latulippe) Powers.

Kathleen was employed as a paralegal secretary for Robert Welts, Esq. at Welts, White, and Fontaine in Nashua for over 50 years. She was a member of the Women’s Defense League of New Hampshire. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Tabernacle Society. Kathleen was a Communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry. She served as a Girl Scout leader. Kathleen loved to stay fit and active while enjoying skiing, Jazzercise, aerobics, biking, and tennis.

She is survived by her sister, Sandra M. Williams and husband Richard of Andover; two nieces, Karen Gosselin of Sunapee and Sandra Williams-Crossley of Heartland, Vermont; one nephew, Jerry Williams of Chichester; a beloved great-niece, Summer Gosselin; one great-nephew due to arrive on August 1; two aunts, Elaine Rendo of East Derry and Jeanne Latulippe of Salem; as well as several cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 28, from 5 to 8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 29, at 10 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham MA 01701.
