Backpack Donations for AE/MS

Each year for the past several years, the Social Concerns Committee of the Kearsarge Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (KUUF) has collected donations to provide backpacks loaded with essential school supplies to children in need. This fund drive was originally the idea of Don Gould because the education of all children was so important to him. KUUF has provided 15 complete backpacks to the Andover Elementary/Middle School each August. They are each filled with the following: a three-ring binder, tab dividers, filler paper, two notebooks, a dozen pencils, and a dozen colored pencils. This year the drive was led by Liz Maloof and Amy Dressler of KUUF. Caption and photo: Sally Bergquist
