“Ms. Hildebrand, this is Brutus (a mealworm), and I just want you to know he is very grumpy today,” said Adalyn Boucher. Each student in Gretchen Hildebrand’s second grade class has a pet mealworm at their desk to learn, up close and personal, about insect metamorphosis.
