Legionnaire of the Year Award Presented to Lloyd Perreault

Bill Leber, Commander of the American Legion Crosby-Gilbert Post 101 of Andover, on behalf of the post, presented Lloyd Perreault, finance officer, the 2016 “Legionnaire of The Year” Award for the work he has done this past year. This is the first time this award has been given to a Post 101 member.
In addition to his financial duties, Lloyd has coordinated placement of flags on Veteran’s graves for Memorial Day, organized the placement of flag poles and flags at Bog Covered Bridge, and the Town Hall. He shared the cost and organized the installation of a new iron gate at the Philbrick Cemetery on Old College Road from which the original gate had been stolen. He took part in the Memorial Day flag burning ceremonies and participated in the 4th of July ceremonies and parade. Lloyd and his wife Judy prepared the Christmas food baskets, which were given to needy veterans. It was an honor to present Lloyd with this award.
