Four more hikes planned for February and March

Winter hikes can be anything! Depending on the vagaries of weather you may need micro-spikes or snow shoes or XC skis. Contact the leader at least one day before the adventure for details including meeting time and place. Dress in layers, bring snacks and plenty of water. In addition to the list below there may be new hikes added, so be sure to check   srkg.com for updates.

February 2 (Thursday) Skin-Ski-Repeat. Celebrate Groundhog Day at Mt. Sunapee and meet other local back country skiers. 7 AM start has you back in the office by 9 AM. Nathan Richer (344-0287)

February 12 (Sunday) XC ski from Twin Lake Villa to Morgan Pond and back. Moderate ski depending upon conditions with some up and downhill sections – about 5 miles round trip. For more information contact Andy Hager (470-6009)

February 18 (Saturday) Joel Sadler from SPNHF will join us for a X-country ski up the Lincoln Trail. This will be an extremely difficult ski trip, not only lots of elevation gain going up but a narrow steep trail coming down. — Expert ability to do turns with metal edge skis required.
