John L. Maxfield died February 20, 2017, after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born August 19, 1945, the son of the late William Thomas Maxfield and the late Virginia (Arthur) Maxfield.

John was an electronics whiz and worked for many years as an imaging specialist, working on state-of-the-art hospital equipment. He was an audiophile and enjoyed a hobby of digital recording.

John was a gentle soul who loved animals, especially his cat Gimpy. He was also feisty and independent.

He is survived by two sisters, Marjorie (William) Leber of Andover, and Beverly Maxfield of Indio, California, a niece, Deborah Barton, nephews Douglas Leber and Mark Leber;,seven great nieces and nephews, and five great-great nieces and nephews.
