Christine Eleanor Birchall Van Wagenen passed away after a battle with ALS on March 2, 2017.

Christine was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 31, 1943. She attended the Lowell school system and graduated from New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire with a BS in Education. Christine was a teacher for many years, including reading, first grade, and high school. She was an avid tennis player and skier.

Interment and a memorial service will occur in New Hampshire during the summer. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Van Wagenen; her parents David and Christine (Cameron) Birchall; and granddaughter, Megan Day.

She is survived by her three daughters, Heidi Van Wagenen Day, Lorin Van Wagenen Carroll, and Gretchen Van Wagenen Montgomery; son-in-law’s Michael Day and Scott Montgomery; and eight grandchildren; Jonathan Carroll, Emily Carroll, Tyler Day, Isaac Montgomery, Seth Montgomery, Madeline Carroll, Ian Montgomery, and Joshua Montgomery.
