Husband of Yvette (Perreault) Crane of Andover

 

George A. Crane, 87, of Cilleyville Road, died on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on March 30, 1929 the son of George Crane and Gertrude (Howell) Crane.

George graduated from Revere, Massachusetts High School and joined the Navy Reserves. He was assigned to the 20 stack destroyer (USS Livermore) where he trained and became a trainer for other Navy reservists.

George enjoyed 25 years of owning and operating George Crane Real Estate in Melrose, Massachusetts. Later he and his wife owned and operated Eastman Inn in North Conway for five years.

He was a member of Fidelity Lodge A.F. & AM in Massachusetts and was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason.

George is predeceased by his oldest son, David, who died of complications from a long standing neck injury at the young age of 36. He is also predeceased by sisters, Ruth and Barbara and a brother, John.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Yvette (Perreault) Crane of Andover; their children, Robyn Tolman of Derry, Heidi Lim of Singapore, Stephen Crane of Reading, Massachusetts, William Little, Jr. of Danvers, Massachusetts, Leanne Beck of Sutton, Gary Little of Beverly, Massachusetts and Paul Little of Sutton; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Mender of Haverhill, Massachusetts; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on March 24. The burial will be in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Massachusetts at a later date.
