Andover Coffeehouse Presents Holly Furlone

Starting at 7 PM, doors open at 6 PM

Press Release
April’s Coffeehouse hosted Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki (on left) and Matt Jensen. They were joined by 14 other local performers for a wonderful night of music and fun.

New Hampshire singer and songwriter, Holly Furlone, hailed by the Concord Monitor as “a local rising star” with a style described as “passionate, candid and pure,” will headline the show at the Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, May 19, beginning at 7 PM at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover. As always, the concert is free and open to the public, though donations are gratefully accepted.

Asked to summarize her work, Furlone says: “I’m a mom. I’m an educator. I’m a student. I make music. I am the luckiest person I know!” In addition to performing solo, she’s also a member of the Midweeklings, a Plymouth, New Hampshire based folk/rock trio. Her solo work can be heard at: soundcloud.com/hollyfurlone.

Also appearing onstage will be up to a dozen open mic performers, whose contributions in previous months have ranged from the spoken word to jazz, folk, bluegrass, country, and western tunes.

Sponsor for the evening is New London’s Kathy Lowe – “Singer, Songwriter, Music Therapist, Sound Healer, Drum Circler, and Photographer.” Sponsor contributions help support renovation of the Grange Hall, which is owned by the Andover Congregational Church.

Coming up: On Friday, June 16, from Buffalo, New York, songwriter Davey O. will grace the Coffeehouse stage with his “journalist’s eye for detail and poet’s ear for the well turned observation … drawn from the deep well of experience and human emotion.” There’s much more at :daveyo.com

Doors to the Grange Hall will open at 6 PM for food purchases offered by the Andover Congregational Church and for open mic sign ins on a first come, first serve basis.

Information about future dates and scheduled performers, and a photographic record of the performers, both headliners and open mic participants, are shown on the Coffeehouse website at: andovercoffeehouse.org, or on the Facebook page: Andover Community Coffeehouse.

Video recordings of past programs are shown on a number of community access channels across the state and are available for viewing anytime on Andover’s town website at: andover.nh.us by clicking on “Town Information” and then “Video Archive.” The videos are produced by volunteers at Andover Community Cable.
