Public Notice—Invitation to Bid

The commissioners of the Andover Fire District 1 hereby invite the public to bid in the sale of the following surplus apparatus.

Item 1. 1993 International 4900 Series with a 1200 gallon steel tank. Allison automatic transmission, Navistar DTA 466 diesel engine, odometer reading as of 6/14/2017 is 5,328 miles. Pump will be removed prior to transfer.

Item 2. 1992 Grumman Olson Step Van with aluminum body. Gas motor. Automatic transmission. Odometer reading as of 6/14/17 is 10,733 miles.

To bid on these items sealed bids must be received prior to 7 PM on Monday the 7th day of August 2017, and may be mailed to Andover Fire Department, PO Box 117, Andover, New Hampshire 03216. Bids must be in an envelope clearly marked on the face stating which item they are to be open with, if bidding on multiple items, they may be mailed in one envelope but bids must be in separate marked envelopes inside. Failure to clearly mark face of envelope or place in separate envelopes may result in rejection of bid. All items will have emergency equipment removed prior to sale. With the exception of removal emergency equipment on items 1&2 and the removal of the pump from Item 1, all items are to be sold as is/ as seen and neither the commissioners or fire department make any guarantee either verbally or in writing as to the usability, drivability, or condition of these items and are not responsible for any errors, or omissions in this notice.

By bidding on these items you are entering into a contractual obligation to complete the purchase. Items must be removed from the premises no later than August 21, 2017 and paid in full by cash or bank check. The commissioners reserve the right to accept/reject any or all bids or to rebid any item as they determine to be in the best interest of the district.
