Wilmot Community Association Hosts Pie for Breakfast

Saturday, July 8 from 8 AM to 11 AM

Press Release

It’s summer, take a day off from cooking. Starting with breakfast when – my, oh my – there’s nothing like pie. The Wilmot Community Association (WCA) is holding its annual Pie Breakfast from 8 to 11 AM on Saturday, July 8 at the Red Barn, 64 Village Road, Wilmot.

Bring your appetite! A delectable selection of sweet and savory pies, both hot and cold, will be available. And that’s not all. The menu includes fresh fruit, juice, a choice of bacon or sausage, beverages and baked goodies. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children age 6 to 12. No charge for children 5 and younger.

This annual fundraiser is popular with young and old and lots of fun. “We couldn’t do it without the help of the community,” said Amber Gove, event organizer and WCA board member. “Every year, some of the best bakers from Wilmot and the surrounding towns donate pies.” If you are interested in donating a pie (or two) or some baked goods, contact Amber at (603) 748-1684.

Nick’s Other Band will be playing rock ‘n’ roll favorites. Be sure to get your tickets for the 50/50 raffle. It all goes to a good cause, supporting programs at the WCA.

Established in 1963, the WCA provides the facilities for educational, social and recreational activities. The WCA sponsors and co-sponsors free and low cost events and activities for the community throughout the year. It owns two facilities in Wilmot, the Red Barn, a community center on Village Road, and Timothy Patten Park, a beach and playground on Shindagan Road.

The WCA office at the Red Barn is open from 9 AM to noon Mondays through Wednesdays and by appointment.
