Sister Act is Coming to Franklin

For the first time in central New Hampshire, Franklin Footlight Theatre presents Sister Act the Musical. Sister Act is the feel good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Starring Tajoura Davis as Deloris Van Cartier (the role made famous by Whoopie Goldberg), and Franklin local Christie Martin as Mother Superior, their powerful voices soar through the historic Franklin Opera House as this musical comes for the first time ever to the Lakes Region!

Featuring original music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. A cast of over 60 New Hampshire talents share the stage featuring Rodney Martell, Jack Finley, Derek de Sousa and Garrett Cain as Curtis and his band of thugs. Other outstanding performers include Jennifer Schaffner as Sister Mary Patrick and Sydney Moquin as Sister Mary Robert and John Masse as Eddie, the Philadelphia police officer. Under the direction of Jule Finley, winner of Best NHCTA director and Musical Director Christine Chiasson, this show is sure to entertain all who attend. Couple that with amazing choreography from Jenness Nordstrom, Addison Granger and Cameron Moquin, all from Creative Steps dance studio, and this is a show you don’t want to miss! Franklin City Councilor Vince Ribas performs as the Monsignor and the incredible group of “nuns” include Sue Bitetto, Saige Granger, Jenness Nordstrom, Kaylah Barton, Rebecca Turmel, Wendy de Sousa, Kim Daniel, Rhonda Perry, Erin Wilcox, Hayley de Sousa, Molly Brown, Clarissa Martin and Madi Smith. Rounding off the production team is Producer Leigh Webb, Scenic Design by Christopher Schroeder, Costumes by Annette Andreozzi, Prop Design by Sue Bitetto, Lighting by Dan Darling and Sound Engineer Adam Bates. Technical Director is Robbie LaFlamme and stage managers Mark Bitetto and Bonnie Gilbert.
