Quinn Louise Austin, June 29, 2017

Quinn Louise Austin was born in the early morning of April 26, 2017 in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Because of her very premature arrival into the world, Quinn and her parents, Kate and Trish Austin of Danbury, New Hampshire spent all of their time in the ICN at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Quinn was loved by all who knew her. She had a special gift of connecting with people through the twinkle in her eyes. If one looked into Quinn’s eyes they could see her sweet soul shining through. Quinn was captivating.

She worked very hard each and every day overcoming incredible odds. Her moms would often comment, “She took it like a champ” and a champion she truly was. Quinn was brave.

Quinn enjoyed being read to often. She also enjoyed visits from her family and close friends, but more than anything in the world, Quinn loved her snuggle time with her Mommy and Mama. There is no doubt that she brought them both as much joy as they brought her. They are as close as any family could ever be. Quinn is deeply loved.

In the same extraordinary way that Quinn entered this world, she too quickly was taken from it. Quinn passed away suddenly on June 29, 2017 from complications following surgery. Her family will hold onto the memories of every minute they were given with her.

Quinn is survived by her loving parents, Kate and Trish Austin; her grandparents, Bob and Debby Smith and Mert and Sharon Austin; Aunts and Uncles, Ben and Wendy Smith, Becky Smith, Tom Austin, and Tracey and Mark Avery; many cousins; and her extended family of Doctors and Nurses at the ICN.

Quinn will forever be remembered for her perseverance and the unending love and joy she brought to her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. The world is a much better place for having had her in it.
