ASLPT Hosts First “Woods Forum” for Local Landowners

A chance to share ideas, concerns with other landowners

Press release

Are you a landowner of significant acreage, say 25 acres or more? Have you ever wished you could get together with other landowners in your area to discuss topics of common interest, like how to handle passing your land on to the next generation; how to share your love of the land with your grandchildren; how to attract wildlife to your property; or how to deal with wildlife issues like beavers flooding a woods road?

If so, Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust’s (ASLPT) Woods Forums may be just the thing for you! Join us for our first Woods Forum on Thursday, March 21, from 7 to 8:30 PM at the ASLPT offices on Pleasant Street in New London.

With help from a Northeast State Foresters Association grant, we will be hosting five Woods Forums for landowners to gather with each other, have a short presentation on a topic of interest, and engage with fellow landowners on topics and questions they choose.

You may come to any of our five meetings, so if you miss the March meeting, check out our upcoming Woods Forums scheduled in April and July.

Please contact Nancy Smith at 526-6555 or NSmith@nullAusbonSargent.org if you plan to join us.
