LRGHealthcare Kicks Off Holiday Season by Giving

LACONIA, NH – Earlier this week, LRGHealthcare welcomed the holiday season through the gift of turkeys for all employees and providers.

Members of the LRGHealthcare Senior Team set up early Monday and Tuesday morning at Lakes Region General Hospital and Franklin Regional Hospital complete with blow up turkeys, holiday music, refreshments, and a refrigerated truck full of frozen turkeys.  All employees of LRGHealthcare, including those at both hospitals as well as the off-site practices, were each welcomed to stop by the festive area and take home a gluten-free, 13-16 pound frozen turkey.

As an alternative, employees were also given the option to donate their turkey to those less fortunate in LRGHealthcare’s communities.  In all, LRGHealthcare is proud to share its employees and providers donated 389 turkeys to organizations throughout the Lakes and Three Rivers Regions.

“We’re so proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our employees and providers each day, that we really wanted to not only give them a gift this holiday season, but do so in a fun way offering a break from the norm,” stated Kevin W. Donovan, LRGHealthcare President and CEO.  “What better way to kick off the holidays than by giving back to those we count on each day?  And, we couldn’t be prouder of those employees who then gave back to the community by donating their turkey to those who need it most.”  

Because of the generosity of LRGHealthcare’s employees, 389 turkeys were delivered to the following organizations:

Tiny Twisters – Franklin

Franklin VFW Community Thanksgiving Meal

St. Joseph’s Church Food Pantry – Belmont

Franklin Fire Department

Laconia Fire Department

Tilton Northfield Fire Department

Laconia Police Department

Central NH VNA

Laconia Area Community Land Trust
