The 5th grade class at AEMS spent the last month learning about the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead in their art class. They each createdtheir own 3D sugar skull masks, using plaster wrap and paint. At the end of the project, the 5th grade class got to experience the holiday with a day full of learning Spanish words, frosting skull cookies, and talking about the history and traditions they follow on this special day.
