New London Hospital hires new Vice President of Revenue

New London Hospital (NLH) is pleased to announce that Melanie Cook
has joined the hospital as Vice President of Revenue. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing the business-related functions of the patient visit, from initial contact to collections.

Ms. Cook has more than 16 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle functions.  She began her career at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she received her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) license and worked in various roles within the Coding Department.  In 2011, she began working at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital as the Revenue Cycle Analyst, then the Revenue Cycle Director, and finally, the Associate Vice President of Revenue Cycle.
Ms. Cook lives in New London with her husband and three-year-old son. “I am thrilled to be working and living in the same community,” says Ms. Cook. “New London Hospital is truly a community-centered organization, and I am proud to be part of this vital resource.”
