Planning for several events celebrating our 250th birthday is on the fast track now that the Old Home Day committee has begun meeting.  Old Home Day will be the second weekend in August (the 10th & 11th), as usual.  The theme is “Celebrate Salisbury: Happy 250th Birthday.”  The parade promises to be the best ever!

A “grown-up” Tea Party will be held April 29, and look for a Second Annual Ravioli Dinner on May 12.  A Time Capsule will be filled sometime on Saturday, August 11. Details to follow in future update.

Have you seen vehicles with our special commemorative license plates on the front?  They show love and support for the town and are just cool to have, now through December 31.  You don’t have to be from Salisbury to put a plate on your vehicle. Show your support and purchase a commemorative license plate sanctioned by the State of NH, Dept. of Motor Vehicles.

Plates and other memorabilia will be available for purchase during voting hours on Town Meeting Day, March 13, from 1-7 PM and at other upcoming events.

Items available include a unique calendar blending historic with present-day photos, decorative cobalt blue glass medallions with our 250th logo, kitchen towels, ball caps, tee shirts, aprons and tote bags.

Everyone is welcome to the next Old Home Day committee meeting on March 14 at 6:30pm upstairs in Academy Hall. If you have ideas for events, please send your thoughts and comments to our email address: snhsester250@nullgmail.com.  And look for us on Facebook at Salisbury New Hampshire 250th.
