Italian Dinner and Snofest were great success

This photo shows just a few of the machines that where at Andover Snowmobile Club’s Snofest. The Vintage Snowmobile Show is a always a highlight of the annual event.

The Andover Snowmobile Club has been busy this year keeping up with the trail maintenance and grooming required to keep all of our trails open. With an early start to winter in December and then some ice, we have spent a lot of time keeping trails open.

We have, however, had the opportunity to host two events that we would like to share. First is our Annual Italian Buffet that was held on Saturday January 27, 2018. We had a great turnout and were able to through the generosity of those purchasing tickets for the raffle items to make an excellent contribution to Easter Seals Camp Sno-mo. This will help send some campers to summer camp.

Our second event was our 15th Annual Highland Lake SnoFest that was held at the Easter Andover Fish and Game Clubhouse adjacent to Highland Lake. With about 60 antique and vintage snowmobiles on display, this was by far the largest display of sleds to date. We also had a trail permit that allowed the machines to ride along snowmobile corridor 2 and Highland Lake and that we did, with many machines enjoying the great weather and the smooth trail, there was even a 1924 Model T snowmobile giving rides to anyone that wanted one.
