David “Dave” Thompson, Februrary 20, 2018

DOVER – David “Dave” Thompson died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital following a year residency at the Langdon Home in Dover, New Hampshire. Dave was born May 1, 1933, in East Andover, New Hampshire.

Dave attended Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire. He loved skiing and was captain of the ski team at Proctor Academy. Following graduation he attended Yale University graduating with a degree in civil engineering. He joined Sohio in Canton, Ohio, as a sales rep and went on to become Vice President of Marketing of Sohio in Cleveland. He worked for Proudfoot Management Consulting then ROI Controls as Director of Analysis and later promoted to Vice President.

Dave moved to Eliot, Maine, in 1998 and built a beautiful home on the Piscataquis River. There he was active in real estate in Dover, New Hampshire. Dave loved ballroom dancing. He also loved boating on the Piscataquis River.

Dave was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Lorean (Winstel), parents Tuttle Thompson and Elizabeth Tate. He is survived by his sister Nancy Hardy, niece Jan McKenney, and nephew Chuck Hardy all of Eliot, Maine.
