Changing of the Guard at Bachelder Library

Tina Nussbaum Wagler is new librarian

By Janet Moore, Library Trustee

When Laura Pauling accepted the position at Bachelder last August, it seemed too good to be true. She was a published author of e-books, loved to read, knew her way around the tech world, and had just completed a number of volunteer hours at the Libby Cass Memorial Library in Springfield, learning how to operate in libraries. Ah, Springfield, they snagged her in March, and Laura will return with six months of actual leadership under her belt. We certainly wish her well and are very grateful to her for leaving the Bachelder in such good shape…
…for Tina Nussbaum Wagler, our new librarian as of April first. Tina got her feet wet at the Tracy Library in New London before agreeing to take over in East Andover. She and her family moved to Andover at the end of June, having been informed that July 3rd would not be a good time to navigate the town with moving paraphernalia, but July 4th would be a rewarding day to relax, drink lemonade, eat fries, and watch the parade. Tina comes with years of experience as a teacher, in the classroom and on the farm, and as an administrator of the “farm school” she and her husband started. Tina is an avid reader and a quick learner, is tech-savvy AND loves people, and promises to furnish the Bachelder with warmth, energy, enthusiasm, and great reads. Stop by and say hello soon.
