Hope this finds you all enjoying the summer months! Before you know it, Labor Day will be upon us and we will be hastily preparing for the winter months.
The float which the Church entered in the 4th of July parade received 1st place. Thanks to all who helped put it together and rode on the float. Unfortunately, the cotton candy machine broke down, so only a few of them were sold.
We co_llected almost $500 for the “Aspire Women’s Center” in Laconia. This organization provides life-affirming pregnancy support services, including pregnancy tests and ultrasounds for pregnancy confirmation, for women in the community experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Thank you all for your generosity.
Pastor Jolin Wagner recently was on vacation from July 13th until July 24th. While he was away, Rev. Bill Blomquist from the Anglican Diocese of New England led our worship service for the 1st week, and Kathy Winkfield, recently ordained for diaconal ministry, filled the pulpit for the second week.
Don’t forget … PRAYER is being offered up for Franklin weekly on Fridays, meeting at the City Hall at 5PM for prayer and prayer walks through the city.
We continue to collect and distribute food to the Twin Rivers Food Pantry in Franklin. Thank you to Alison Barry and Ellen Osborne who volunteer their time to work at the Food Pantry on the second Tuesday of each month (9-11 AM).
The Flea Market and Bake Sales continue to be held at the Grange Hall the last Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM. Contact Donna Thompson, 744-6858, if you have items to donate. We continue to raise money for the Grange Hall repairs and restoration, If you would like to donate towards this work, you may do so by sending a check of any amount to the ACC, (memo – GH restoration), PO Box 211, E. Andover NH 03231.
