The Friends of the Northern Rail Trail recently awarded prizes donated by local businesses in their summer raffle to support trail work on Andover’s 35 miles of trail.  The winners were picked by 7 year old Deborah Leak of Andover at the end of the Potter Place Fair on August 5. The winner of the Trek Bike donated by S&W Sports of Concord was Tom Morgan of Andover. Melissa Brouillard of Bristol won the other grand prize, two nights lodging donated by the Highland Lake Inn.  Winners of the gift certificates were John Ostler of Andover (Eastern Mtn Sports), Tom Voss of Andover (Belletete’s), Mary Bux of Wilmot and Bonnie Fladung of Springfield (Flying Goose restaurant), Nancy Witherspoon of Andover (JJ’s Market), and Lee Keyser of Andover, and Lyz Jablonski and John Schwartz of Wilmot (Pizza Chef). The Rail Trail board appreciates the community support and hopes to see folks out on the trail.
