The Andover Book Club meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Bachelder Library on Chase Hill Rd in East Andover. September’s selection is “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI” by David Grann, author of that incredible story of the Amazon: “The Lost City of Z.”

In the 1920’s, members of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma were among the richest people in the world because oil had been discovered on their lands. One by one, though, the Osage began to die in mysterious circumstances. Enter J. Edgar Hoover and the newly formed FBI. Together with a former Texas Ranger and an undercover Native American agent, they infiltrated the region and discovered a truly chilling conspiracy.
