Center for the Arts Announces New Arts Program for Kids!  Arts on the …Go!

A series of monthly Saturday Art Trips for Kids from October to May.

“This is an exciting new program bringing kids to great performances in our region!” says Jean Connolly, chair of The Center for the Arts. These trips are open to all children in the Lake Sunapee/Kearsarge Region in grades 1 and up unless accompanied by an adult. Chaperoned Bus Transportation will be provided to and from Whipple Hall in New London.

The programs offered this year include: on October 20 Jeh Kulu African Drum and Dance Theater at the Hopkins Center-Hanover; on November 3 The East Bay Jazz Ensemble-Sing a long at the Hopkins Center-Hanover; on January 12 The Children’s Art Festival at Plymouth State University-Plymouth; on January 19 the Crabtree Puppet Theatre at the Hopkins Center-Hanover; on March 9 Genki Spark Taiko Drums-at the Hopkins Center-Hanover; on April 6 ShirLaLa Kiddie Rocker plays Earth Day at the Hopkins Center-Hanover; on May 4 the Dartmouth Dance Ensemble at the Hopkins Center-Hanover; and also on May 4 the Tanglewood Marionettes-at the CSB Community Center-Claremont; and finally on  May 19 Kids Con Comic Fair-“Literacy through Comics”- at the Radisson Hotel- on Nashua. Prices for these programs, including transportation is between $15 for local programs and $45 for Plymouth and Nashua trips.
