Gary William Lipovsky,  age 76, of Royal Oak, MI passed away on December 27. He was born on September 12, 1942 in Highland Park to Vincent A. and Thurley A. (Huber) Lipovsky. Gary attended Shrine Elementary and High School of Royal Oak. He had careers in printing as well as tool and die. As an avid recreational pilot flying in and out of Detroit City, Oakland County and Troy Airports, he earned the nickname “Captain.” Gary loved to listen to music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and dining out. He was widely known for his joke telling and aphorisms. Gary is preceded in death by his sons, Daniel William and Andrew Michael Lipovsky. He is survived by two loving daughters, Elizabeth Klotz of Clarkston, MI and Molly (Thomas) Morgan of Andover, NH. He was “Grandpa Gary” to four adoring grandchildren, Tanner Klotz and Linden, Ember and Azalea Morgan. Loving brother to Vincent (Carole) Liposky, Donald (Marie) Liposky, Jonathon (Marcia) Liposky and Larry (Maureen) Lipovsky, Tamara (the late Joseph) Marc, Pamela (Ginther) Naujoks and Kathy Dressell. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at Edward Swanson’s and Sons on January 4 from 1-3, followed by a funeral service at 4PM..
