Andover’s MVHS Seniors Show Their Best Work

Senior Project Roadshow comes to Andover on April 19

Andover’s MVHS ’13 students showed off their Senior Projects at MVHS on March 20. Senior Project represents the culmination of a student’s work at MVHS, and each senior is required to pick a topic that will challenge them and make them stretch.

Completing a senior project is a graduation requirement, and doing so is no walk in the park. Besides the product itself, the student must write a paper, create a presentation, and prepare a portfolio.

Here are this year’s senior projects:

Jason James Ashburn: “How will learning foreign languages make me a better person?”

Charles Andrew Barry: “Is diesel fuel a more efficient alternative to gas?”

Cody Jeffrey Barton: “How can I build a running derby car in the most cost effective way?”

Ethan Phillip Barton: “How do arborists not only care for individual trees but also whole habitats?”

Timothy David Bates: “How has fiberglass changed boating?”

Stephanie Ann Croteau: “How can I, in New Hampshire, show appreciation for our troops overseas?”

Jenna Nicole Davis: “How do SPCAs/Humane Societies help animals in their community as well as the prevention of cruelty to animals?”

Cameron Robert Doucet: “How will remodeling my room provide me with the skills I need to eventually maintain a home in the future?”

Shrief Mohsen Elmasry: “How was the New Hampshire Building Code created and why is it important for this state?”

Timothy Paul Grover: “How can one person make an impact on Autism awareness?”

Dylan Carleton Howe: “Why should one choose sobriety over using drugs and alcohol?”

Brian Wayne Jackson: “How can I introduce blueberry bushes into a field, landscape or farm?”

Alexis Nicole King: “What are the elements of a successful children’s story?”

Mariah Katherine Lansdown-Howard: “What are the social and authoritative struggles facing criminals in prison today?”

Marissa Anne Laro: “How has the SPCA helped in the greater Concord area?”

Trisha June McDonald: “How can I create a professional looking deer mount?”

Kristi Marie Perreault: “What makes a good baker?”

Philemont Louis Ponzi: “How does high school affect the average teen in the 21st century?”

Daiquiri Alexandria Przybyla: “How does having a baby impact a mother?”

Mary-Jane Elizabeth Wittel: “How serious is the Red Cross’ need for blood donations, and how are these donations used?”

Senior Project Roadshow

All the Andover seniors have been invited to bring their Senior Project presentations to AE/MS for public display on Friday, April 19, at 8:30 AM. It’s a chance for all the community to see their work, and for AE/MS eighth graders to get a look at what will be expected of them four years from now.
