Randy Scott Downes, April 26, 2017

Randy Scott Downes, 60 years old, of Andover, New Hampshire, residing in Garland, Texas died Wednesday April 26, 2017 at Baylor Heart and Valve Hospital in Dallas, Texas with his son and daughter in law at his side.

Randy was born in New London, New Hampshire on April 4, 1957. He was the son of Faith B and Frank A Downes, both preceded him in death. Randy lived off and on his entire life in Andover, New Hampshire.

Randy was currently working as a construction supervisor and previously served in the United States Army as a Tank Commander in the First Cavalry Division. He graduated from Kearsarge Regional High School in 1975. He became a proud father in December 1976 to Joshua and was God’s ambassador to a little girl named Angel for many years.

Members of his family surviving include his son, Joshua and his wife Elvia and their daughter Mia of San Antonio, Texas. Three sisters, Mary Minter and husband Ralph of Boscawen, New Hampshire; Joan Young and husband Sam of Salisbury, New Hampshire; Cheryl Fiske and  husband Bob of Loudon, New Hampshire; brother Roy Downes and wife Kathy of Salisbury, New Hampshire and brother Frank Downes and wife Linda of Potter Place, New Hampshire. He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.

Randy was well loved and will be missed by the many friends and relatives he leaves behind. We know he is at home making music in heaven playing aside Johnny Cash.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on August 11 at Andover Congressional Church in East Andover at 5:30 PM officiant Rev. John Wagner
