New fitness center is part of extensive renovations done at the Farrell Field House at Proctor Academy

Proctor Academy celebrated the opening of its newly renovated gymnasium and fitness center in January in the Farrell Field House. While not much has changed from the outside, once you step foot in the building, there is a world of change that has taken place. In an effort to continue to provide its faculty, staff, and students with ways to stay healthy and active throughout the year, the new fitness center is large enough to accommodate teams training as well as provide space for individuals to workout. Features of the space include ten free-weight training stations, new cardio equipment, expansive windows overlooking Farrell Field complex and the gymnasium, as well as a multi-use turf training strip in the gym for functional training.

Andover’s middle school basketball teams were some of the first to play on the new basketball court during December’s Andover Lions Club Tournament, with the middle school boys taking home the championship! Proctor encourages community members to come check out a home basketball game this February and see the new gym and fitness center (see associated article on Proctor Athletic contests in February).
