People - Deaths - 140325 Mansell 2Pauline French Mansell, 95, died on March 25, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Polly was born in South Orange, New Jersey and had been a resident of North Sutton and Andover for many years.

A graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey, she attended Hollins College before her marriage to John Mansell. They settled in Mentor, Ohio, where Polly administered the Winter Term Abroad program at Lake Erie College and later worked for the Admissions Department.

Her passions as a volunteer were for the Red Cross Blood program, both as an organizer and a donor, and the local garden club. After moving to North Sutton, Polly enjoyed her service with Welcome Wagon and as president of the local League of Women Voters.

When they retired, Polly and Jack realized their dream of traveling throughout the USA, Canada, and Mexico, eventually settling in Fort Pierce. Polly was famous for her active lifestyle that included golf and tennis. She was an avid reader, bridge player, and animal lover.

Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, John Mansell, she is survived by her three children: Anne Moodey of Wilmot and Lee Carvalho and Derek Mansell of Andover; six grandchildren: Shawn Hollister, Anne Moodey, Jonathan Moodey, Alden Paye, and Matthew Carvalho; and seven great-grandchildren: Sam, Lucy, and Kate Hollister, Lohkoah and Zigehleh Paye, and Noah and Ella Moodey.
