Happy fall, everyone! We have had a great beginning of a new year.

I’d like to welcome Becca Lance to our program. She is very enthusiastic and excited to join our team. She also works with Mrs. Jacobs and myself at AE/MS!

I would like to take a moment to thank Stephanie Croteau, who helped me out this summer to change things around.

I would also like to thank Miles Hurlbutt’s family, which has donated a flat screen TV. This was a big help for our Friday movie day. The kids are enjoying some DVD movies instead of the old VHS ones.

We have added new push-button locks on our doors for better security, so if you stop in, just give a hard knock, and a staff member will let you in! A big shout-out to the Barton family for installing our new locks and helping out with preparing the building. This was a huge help.

Last month we finished our picture wall by adding all of our new children to the family. It’s in the Library if parents want to check it out. We made sunflowers and apple trees, and beading was very popular. We also enjoyed the Play-Doh kit and painting with apples.

The Andover After School Program (AASP) will be having a fundraiser this month, with a lot of great Christmas gift ideas. You may ask any one of the AASP children, or stop in and look at a catalog.

We have an open-door policy at the AASP. If anyone is interested in part-time enrollment or just wants to see what we are all about, stop in and say hello.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
