Rest of the Town Report: Andover Girl Scouts

Our Girl Scout troop is having a terrific year! We have a huge troop this year, with 23 girls participating from kindergarten to fourth grade. We are learning about cultures around the world through the World of Girls curriculum provided by the Girl Scout Council. The girls are working towards earning several badges.

We have been busy with a variety of activities. As a troop, we created cards for the nursing home in New London during the holiday season. We just finished our cookie sale, which was a huge success with 2,292 boxes of cookies sold. The money earned from this sale will help us with several activities, and the girls picked some activities to do for the community with the money raised. The girls decided to give back to the community by donating items for the Franklin Animal Shelter. We are thankful for all of the support we have received from the school, community, and the Girl Scout Council to make our troop a huge success.
