Governor, Republican, Jonathan Lavoie

I am a regular New Hampshire citizen running for governor. I believe that politicians have become out of touch with real people like you and me. They are more concerned with voting along party lines in order to progress in their political careers.

As a lifelong New Hampshire citizen who’s been interested in politics from a young age, I’ve grown tired of this. New Hampshire needs a governor with an eye for common sense and real New Hampshire values.

Three hot topics in New Hampshire right now are heroin, energy costs, and our second amendment.

Heroin: First step should be to remove the borders to insurance companies into New Hampshire. More competition will allow for better care. Those who want help but can’t afford it should be helped, but that costs money.

We need to stop toying with the decriminalization of marijuana; just legalize and regulate it like alcohol and cigarettes. The tax revenue will easily fund treatment centers to get people off hard drugs.

Energy Costs: The pipelines and transmission lines coming through New Hampshire are not meant to help New Hampshire. Don’t let these billion-dollar companies fool you. They are aimed elsewhere, and New Hampshire is simply in the way.

We can solve our own high energy costs by encouraging solar businesses and homes in New Hampshire. Removing the solar cap and pumping excess energy into the grid will lower everyone’s costs.

Second Amendment: We are New Hampshire – Live Free or Die. I will stand up for our right to carry and sign the concealed carry bill.
