Rest of the Town Report: East Andover Village Preschool

East Andover Village Preschool continues to grow and learn on Chase Hill Road as part of the Andover Congregational Church property. Our continuing teachers are Elizabeth Janvrin, Alicia Colby, and Carmen Bates, and we have welcomed Lois Magenau to our teaching team. We have morning and full-day preschool programs for children ages three years to five years.

Our program is licensed by the state of New Hampshire. Our curriculum objectives and assessments remain under Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold, which are aligned with the new Common Core Standards.

We have added a Summer Camp program with weekly themes, explored our community with multiple field trips, engaged in daily water play and nature walks on the Rail Trail. We have begun fostering a love for gardening and nutrition with our own gardens and this spring are beginning the Early Sprouts Curriculum created at Keene State College. We continue to receive visits from our traditional Santa, showcase our singing in our Winter Wonderland Show, and celebrate our families with a dance. Every day, children engage in hands-on explorations of their world and interests, questions, and ideas.

We are currently in the registration process for our 2013-2014 school year. Please contact Elizabeth Janvrin at EAVP@nulltds.net or 735-5105 for more information.
