Historical Society offers  annual fund-raising raffle

By Larry Chase

The Andover Historical Society’s annual summer raffle will be a little different from those of past  years. Instead of a basket of donated gifts, the lucky 2018 winner will walk away with $100 worth of New Hampshire Lottery tickets!
Proceeds from this fundraiser help with the everyday expenses of the Historical Society’s museum facilities in Potter Place, as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the various buildings and possessions entrusted to its care.
The cost of a ticket is $5.00. Tickets will be on sale at the Emons Store in Potter Place during the Historical Society’s regular museum hours. The museum is open on Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM, and on Sundays from 12:30 to 3:00 PM/
Tickets will also be on sale at Andover’s Fourth of July celebration on the Village Green, and at the Society’s Old Time Fair in Potter Place on Sunday, August 5. Tickets can also be purchased from AHS members. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Old Time Fair, and the winner does not need to be present to win.
