Wilmot Historical Society Opens History Room

June 22 for the Season

Press Release

The Wilmot Historical Society announces that its History Room will open every Saturday through September from 9 AM to noon on Saturday, June 22.  The Society’s popular Curiosity Shop will open the first of three Summer shops on July 13, with additional dates of operation scheduled for August 3, September 7, and possibly a 4th, to be announced.

Both the indoor and outdoor venues are a part of the fabulous Wilmot Farmers Market located on the Wilmot Town Green. The Society houses its collection in the History Room of the town office building next door at 9 Kearsarge Valley Road, just off Route 11 in Wilmot.

On the Saturdays when both Society venues are open, visitors have the opportunity to chat with docents about the Society’s permanent collection and also purchase collectibles, jewelry, linens, ephemera, vintage china, antiques and thing-a ma-jigs. Mark your calendars today!

All proceeds from the Shop benefit the Wilmot Historical Society in its endeavor to bring Wilmot’s history to life.  One example of how the Society is doing this is the wide selection of high quality oral history videos it has produced, viewable online at Wilmothistoricalsociety.org.

Please consider donating items to the WHS Curiosity Shop when you are doing your Spring cleaning. Tax receipts and pickup arrangements are available upon request. Call Lindy at 526-6376 for more information.
