The July 4th Celebration is Here

Press Release
“Tim Frost making cotton candy at the celebration 1984”

This is it! The 4th of July Committee has worked all year to get things ready for the celebration. Without the support of Andover’s police and fire departments, as well as townspeople, we wouldn’t be able to pull this celebration together.

Bring your appetites and good spirits for a full day of activities around Andover. Make sure you reserve a place in your heart for our country and all “She” stands for. One way to show patriotism is to raise a flag in your front yard or pick up one on the Village Green on the 4th. Wave it with pride!

It’s not too late to enter the parade (the theme is Sports) or set up a booth on the Village Green. Anyone up for being a “dunkee” in the Dunking Booth??

Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets at the raffle booth on the Village Green on the 4th.  At last count there were 61 prizes, so your chances to win are good!

Be sure to go to Carr Field for games and refreshments (Auntie Nae’s Tiki Treats) starting at 6 PM. Hang out for the fireworks which promise to be better than ever. We worked to revamp the display and we think you will be impressed!

Many thanks to Proctor Academy and NH Electric Co-op for their help getting power set up at Carr Field.

Based on how the spring has gone, we are due for a beautiful, sunny 4th of July. But just in case, a rain date is scheduled for Saturday, July 6th. This will be announced by 6 PM on July 3rd on the Andover 4th of July Facebook page, on the Andover town website, and on the Andover TV station. If in doubt, call Doug at 977-0037, Donna at 735-6131, or Beth at 455-2882.
