Board Attendees Alex Bernhard, Steve Darling, Craig Heim, Lindy Heim, Charles Martin, Myra Mayman and Peter Southworth

Business Matters:

1. Minutes of May 15, 2019 Board Meeting, accepted unanimously without amendment.

2. Treasurer’s Report.   Steve reported that we had received approximately $5,000 in additional contributions since the last meeting from our recent annual appeal bringing total contributions from this appeal to $8,600 which puts us on track to have raised the budgeted $13,000 for this year. Given this our budgeted expenditure for culvert and ditching work of approximately $7,300 still stands as well as our plans to spend  $10,500 from our savings on railings for the Chance Pond bridges in Franklin and $800 on materials for bridge railings in Danbury.

3. Tech Report. Minutes are now up to date on the website; all maps have been updated and in pdf format rather than jpg format which did not reproduce well. We have a new business sponsor – the family owned Grevior Furniture Company in downtown Franklin.

Trail Projects:

1. Trail edge cleanup in preparation for mowing.  Ricker Miller reported on his very successful efforts with various teams removing materials from the side of the trail to make mowing more effective. This was the first time this type of work had been done and it should now be easier to maintain going forward.

2. Mowing. Jimmy Shaw will start mowing beginning in the middle of the trail during the last week of June.

3. New Hampshire State-Wide Rail Trail Conference. Charles Martin reported on a planned conference on New Hampshire Rail Trails on Saturday, October 26 of this year in Concord at the offices of the Bike Walk Alliance at  2 Whitney Rd. in Concord. The conference is sponsored by the NH Rail Trails Coalition and is open to all. Anyone interested in more information can contact Charles Martin at charlesmartin@nullacm.org

Other Matters:  We will have tables at the Andover July 4th celebration, at the Wilmot Farmers Market on July 20th,  and the Andover Old Time Fair on August 4th. Anyone interested in helping to staff our table on either of those dates should contact Peter Southworth at southworthpe@nullproctoracademy.org

Adjournment:  8:21 PM

Next Meeting:

Wednesday, July 17, 2019;  7 PM; The Hub, Andover. All are cordially invited!

Respectfully submitted, Alex Bernhard, secretary pro tempore
