Judith Kalaora Portrays Hedy Lamarr at Warner Town Hall

The New Hampshire Telephone Museum Introduces the Most Beautiful Woman in the World to the Stage.

Hedy Lamarr, considered the “most beautiful woman in film”, was the smoldering actress who starred in the 1949 Hollywood classic Samson and Delilah.  She was also an inventor with scientific ideas that were generations ahead of her time. Lamarr was devoted to helping the Allies beat the NAZI forces in WWII. Whether selling war bonds for $50,000 a kiss, or inventing a secret communication system, with the help of American composer George Antheil, Hedy Lamarr knew she was more than just a pretty face!

Telling the story of a smoldering actress who pioneered the technology that would one day form the basis for today’s WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth communication systems makes for good entertainment. At least Netflix and Showtime think so. “Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story” is now on Netflix and actress Gal Gadot will star in a limited Showtime series in development now.
Judith Kalaora, of History at Play, has been portraying Hedy Lamarr on stage for years and she’ll be entertaining and educating her audience on Friday, September 27 at the Warner Town Hall. This performance is one of the New Hampshire Telephone Museum’s 4th Friday at the Phone Museum series and it will begin at 7 PM. There is a suggested $5.00 donation.

“Tinseltown Inventor: The Most Beautiful Woman in the World; Hedy Lamarr” is funded in part by the New England States Touring program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program and the six New England state arts agencies.
