On Wednesday, October 16, about 30 Friends of the Northern Rail Trail in Merrimack County gathered around a long table at the Highland Lake Inn in Andover for the Friends group’s annual self-congratulatory feast. And what a feast it was! Many thanks to the innkeepers of the Highland Lake Inn, Pecco and Gail Beaufays, for hosting us in their spectacular event barn in East Andover.

Between dinner and dessert, several volunteers were recognized for their exceptional service to the Friends group – our hosts Gail and Pecco Beaufays, Steve Rayno, Patrice and Steve Rasche, Jim Shaw, Kent Hackmann, and Charlie Baer. All have gone over and above in helping the rail trail during this past year. Thank you!
