School Board Candidate Profile – Brandon Adams

Brandon Adams, School Board Candidate

I’m running for Andover School Board because I love Andover and strongly believe that our children are our greatest asset. Investing in their future should be the top priority of our community.

I have lived in Andover for my entire life. My wife and I have been Andover property taxpayers since 2011. While attending night school at SNHU and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, I worked as a paraprofessional at AE/MS and then at the Merrimack Valley High School. After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I worked for nine years as an auditor for the New Hampshire Retirement System, where I also served on the bargaining team, negotiating several union contracts.

In 2017, I joined the Town’s Fire and EMS Departments, where I worked at and attained various firefighting and EMT certifications. Through these processes, I realized a love for serving and helping others. Last April, I successfully changed professions, now working as a career Firefighter/Advanced EMT for the City of Franklin. I continue to volunteer for the Andover Fire and EMS Departments.

My wife and I are raising our daughter in Andover. She just began attending our school’s kindergarten this past fall. The school has always had an extraordinary staff that diligently puts the education and well-being of its pupils above all else. Being a graduate of AE/MS, I am keenly aware of the positive impact my AE/MS education has had on everything that I have accomplished to this point my life. Let’s keep our school special.

Thank you.
