Almost 100 people attended the Retirement Party for Pastor John Wagner on March 11 at
the Elks Club in Franklin. John, along with his wife Amy, served the AndoverCommunity Church for 26 years. The party began with a delicious meal, after which
several church members and friends shared memories of interactions with John
throughout the years.

It was apparent by these stories that he was a man deeply loved and admired as a man of God by all who knew him. John and Amy were presented with many cards and gifts. A beautiful painting of the Church, painted by local artist Melanie Shaw, was presented to John and Amy at the conclusion of the celebration. A good time was had by all!

The following events are still planned as of now, but, depending on the status of COVID-19,
may be subject to change. Check the Church website (andovercommunitynh.org) or call the Church office (735-5160) to confirm if the event is still on.

On Thursday, April 9, a meal of soup and salad will be held at the Grange Hall at 6 PM, reflecting on the Last Supper.

This will be followed by a Tenebre service at the Church at 7:15 PM. The Church will be open for prayer and meditation on Good Friday, April 10, from noon to 3 PM.

A sunrise service will take place at the field of John and Sandra Graves on Maple Street at 6 AM. This will be followed by breakfast in the Grange Hall, at approximately 6:45 AM. Please join us for breakfast even if you aren’t able to come to the sunrise service. The Easter Sunday service will be held at the regular time of 10 AM.

The Andover Community Church does have a prayer chain. lf you or someone you know is in need of prayer, call Ginny Newton, 934-3171, and she will begin the calling chain.

Healing Prayer Ministry is available after worship service on Sundays or by appointment. Speak with Linda Wickstrom, 455-1467.

Franklin Outreach Ministry meets on Wednesdays at 4 PM at Chubbles on Central Street. This includes a meal provided free of cost.

At 6 PM a study group meets at the Franklin Mint Pawn Shop, again on Central Street. Also, prayer walks for Franklin continue on Fridays, meeting at City Hall at 5 PM.

Remember, you are always welcome at the Andover Community Church. Feel free to call the Church office (735-5160) to speak with the pastor for more information about what’s going on at the Church or if you need help in any way. Our Church service and Sunday School begin at 10 AM every Sunday.

Thought for the day: “Put others before yourself and you will become a leader among
men.” (Read Matthew 20:26-27)
