The American Legion’s Crosby-Gilbert Post 101 of Andover placed flags on veterans’ graves around town in preparation for Memorial Day. Placing flags at the Proctor Cemetery were Ron Evans, Don Clendenen, William Keyser, Levi Southworth, William Leber, Lloyd Perreault, and Nicole Southworth (Levi’s wife). In the foreground is the monument of veteran Crosby of World War I. Veteran Gilbert of World War II is buried in the Philippines. Our post name is derived from those two veterans.
