Mark Vashro and Maryssa Wanlass

The premiere of an original one-act play, to be performed by its authors and delivered “live” to its audience  via a link to their mobile and desktop devices, will be available for one-time viewing beginning at 6 PM on Saturday, June 13, to those who sign up in advance. Viewing is free, but limited to the first 100 who sign up by e-mailing The Andover Community Hub, the event host, at TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com.

Title of the play is The Misadventures of MarMar: The Case of the Stolen Ingredient. Co-authors and performers are the husband-and-wife team of Mark Vashro and Maryssa Wanlass, professional actors and filmmakers who recently moved to Andover from San Francisco. Mark is a new member of The Andover Hub board of directors.

The play is described as a “comedic culinary mystery” by its authors, and is “aimed especially at children of all ages.” Viewing time is about 45 minutes.

The home viewing is powered by Zoom, a user-friendly technology compatible with most computers. The Hub is currently using the technology to distribute its monthly Community Coffeehouse concerts to virtual attendees.

As an added attraction, one viewer’s name will be selected at random before the play begins, and a pizza — donated by Pizza Chef of Andover — will be delivered to the winner.
